A Panorama of National and International Press Photography Under One Roof

There’s a unique event at Château de Prangins this autumn: from 7 to 30 November 2014, two exhibitions – »Swiss Press Photo 14« and »World Press Photo 14« – will be running in parallel for the second time, offering a 360° panorama of contemporary photojournalism. Both are making their only appearances in French-speaking Switzerland. »World Press Photo 14« will be on show for three weeks, while »Swiss Press Photo 14« runs until 1 March 2015.

Images of war, portraits (some ground-breaking, some familiar), extraordinary landscapes, sporting achievements, slices of life, and the more obscure stories in the news – the photography in these two exhibitions devoted to photojournalism can shed light on events close to home or whisk us away to the four corners of the globe. Selected by professional juries from tens of thousands of shots, they breathe life into the beautiful, the unbearable, and the inexpressible. The images, which have appeared in the press throughout the world, can now be viewed in their large-format versions at Château de Prangins.
