Portrait of Peter Junker from Rapperswil in the Seeland region. Junker spent half his life digging a tunnel next to his house. The pragmatic search for water became a madness. Only his aging body forced the Seeland native to put down his shovel after 40 years and 220 meters of tunneling. Today, at 80, he doesn't regret a single minute he spent underground.
