The »Los Indignados« movement first appeared in Spain and quickly spread around the world, denouncing corporate greed and social inequality. In Geneva, the Occupy movement camped out in the Parc des Bastions for several months (here in October 2011) relying on Internet and cellphones to communicate and spread the word. The camp was dismantled in February 2012 after a camper died of hypothermia.
