A series during the European Year of Poverty 2010. Nine episodes featured a mother with three daughters who receive welfare. The aim was to address problems other than financial ones that poverty in Switzerland brings with it: illness and loneliness, for example. Education and children were also addressed. The articles provoked strong reactions from readers – many wanted to help and donate, many felt that welfare payments were too high and that the affected family wasn't saving enough.
