Dominic Nahr
Dominic Nahr, Photographer, 1983
Dominic Nahr was born in Switzerland in 1983 and was raised in Hong Kong. He graduated from Ryerson University photography programme in Toronto in 2008 and lives between Zürich and Nairobi. For his work in Sudan, Somalia, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo he has received awards from World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year, Sony World Photography Awards, as well as the Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award. His photographs covering the fighting between the government forces and CNDP rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo were exhibited at Visa pour l‘image in Perpignan. Dominic’s clients include The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, NZZ, Schweizer Illustrierte, Stern, LFI, The Wall Street Journal, among others.
