Article 51 of the Geneva Convention protects civilians from the consequences of armed conflict. Yet, civilians are still regularly the victims, intentionally or unintentionally, of conflicts, even on Europe's borders. This series documents the return of life through holes created by shell explosions in villages on the Donbas front.
