This series of articles demonstrates that the cantonal software project Evento, which cost 33 million Swiss francs, has failed across the board. The program was intended to make work easier for teachers and school secretaries, but ultimately caused them additional work and a great deal of frustration. The authorities have so far stuck with Evento, even though those affected have shown that there are not only better but also much cheaper alternatives.
