“That was bad,” she says afterwards. And yet Mujinga Kambundji has put her competition in the shade: on 5 August she wins the 200 metre race at the Langenthal meet. However, Könizer – who ranked third in the world in this ­discipline in 2019 – came in a second over her best time. But that’s not all: at the end of the month she has to break off her season because of a thigh injury.
