A report on the Cité de Lignon in the Geneva suburb of Vernier. It is a superlative project, a testament to the mass housing construction of the 1960s and the largest residential building in Europe. The living spaces may be cramped, but the rents are affordable. The views from the 2,700 apartments overlook the greenery. The development is characterized by aluminum and glass facades. On the roof of one of the development's two towers, there is a swimming pool with a panoramic view. Many residents have lived in the Cité for a long time, such as Gisèle Zanone and Mr. Tercier, and they can't imagine leaving so soon. A total of almost 7,000 people live in the Cité, where a diverse range of cultures mingle.
