On June 23, 2025, five municipalities in the canton of Aargau will simultaneously vote on merging to form the municipality of "Surbtal." Never before have so many eligible voters attended a municipal assembly in Lengnau as on that evening. The gymnasium was overcrowded, forcing attendees to sit in the equipment room and outside the hall.
