Helene Arnet

Helene Arnet (concept, text) and Doris Fanconi (photo) "send" postcards from the Zurich region to readers. The short texts tell simple stories about each location. The goal is to reflect the canton's diversity and counteract the trend of villages only receiving attention if they offer something exotic, scandalous, or folklore from an urban perspective.

Zürich, 1959

Helene Arnet ist in Schlieren aufgewachsen, hat die Kantonsschule Limmattal in Urdorf besucht und wohnt mit ihrer Familie in Dietikon. Ihr Geschichts- und Deutschstudium an der Universität Zürich hat sie mit einer Dissertation über das Kloster Fahr im Mittelalter abgeschlossen. Sie hat einige Jahre an der Kantonschule Limmattal unterrichtet. Ihre journalistische Laufbahn begann sie in Regionalzeitungen (u. a. Limmattaler Tagblatt) erst als freie Mitarbeiterin, dann als Redaktorin. 2001 wechselte sie mit einem Teilzeitpensum zum Tages-Anzeiger ins Ressort Kanton Zürich.
