Christian Lohr is a member of the National Council for the Christian Democratic People's Party (CVP). Before his birth, his mother took the recognized sleeping pill thalidomide, which caused severe deformities in fetuses. Christian Lohr was born without hands and arms and with deformed legs. He is one of a total of nine "thalidomide children" in Switzerland. Photographed on May 13, 2015, in his apartment in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland.
