Viola (not her real name) has suffered from depression and social anxiety since the age of 12. After Viola began taking drugs and cutting herself, she entered inpatient treatment at a private clinic for four months at the age of 17. "For the years before that, I felt like I was dead inside. I never showed any emotions because I simply didn't feel anything," says Viola.
