Selma

Daniel Auf Der Mauer

Selma (13, not her real name) was 11 years old when her alcoholic and depressed mother threw herself under a train and took her own life. The night she died, the single mother whispered in Selma's ear as she lay in bed: "I love you and it's good for both of us." Selma did not want to be recognized in the photos.
