In 2023 and especially in 2024, I accompanied the nursing staff of the Palliaviva Foundation. Palliaviva provides palliative care to patients at home in the canton of Zurich. I conducted these reports because a study conducted in various countries in 2023 showed that palliative care is portrayed very poorly and inaccurately in the media.

Geboren 1973 in Sion (VS). Nach der Schulzeit im Wallis absolvierte Gaëtan Bally ein Austauschjahr in San Diego in den USA, um Englisch zu lernen. Anschliessend Fotografen-Lehre in Sion mit Berufsschule in Vevey (VD). Bereits während der Lehre regelmässige Aufträge für die Zeitungen «Le Nouvelliste», «Le Nouveau Quotidien» und die Bildagentur Reuters. 1994 bis 1997 Fotograf bei der Agentur ASL in Lausanne. 1997 bis 2002 Fotograf bei der «Neuen Zürcher Zeitung» in Zürich. Seit 2002 Themenfotograf bei der Bildagentur Keystone in Zürich, mit einem Teilpensum von 90%. Daneben freie Auftragsarbeit für verschiedene Magazine und Unternehmen.
