This year I portrayed the three primeval forests of Switzerland, the Doedmeren primeval forest in the canton of Schwyz, Scatlé in the canton of Graubunden and the Derborence primeval forest in Valais, taken between May 2014 and September 2014. Nothing is done in these primeval forests, nature is left alone.

Geboren 1973 in Sion (VS). Nach der Schulzeit im Wallis absolvierte Gaëtan Bally ein Austauschjahr in San Diego in den USA, um Englisch zu lernen. Anschliessend Fotografen-Lehre in Sion mit Berufsschule in Vevey (VD). Bereits während der Lehre regelmässige Aufträge für die Zeitungen «Le Nouvelliste», «Le Nouveau Quotidien» und die Bildagentur Reuters. 1994 bis 1997 Fotograf bei der Agentur ASL in Lausanne. 1997 bis 2002 Fotograf bei der «Neuen Zürcher Zeitung» in Zürich. Seit 2002 Themenfotograf bei der Bildagentur Keystone in Zürich, mit einem Teilpensum von 90%. Daneben freie Auftragsarbeit für verschiedene Magazine und Unternehmen.
