Across Switzerland in 15 minutes (Swiss Press Audio 2012, by Matthias Baumer) - Swiss Press Award

DRS1

2012

Matthias Baumer

The Regional-Diagonal editorial team at SR DRS produces a weekly radio magazine with stories and people from various regions of Switzerland, stories that listeners have never heard before during the entire radio week. Daily, we receive reports of traffic accidents involving victims on pedestrian crossings – but why does Wettingen (AG) have to remove three pedestrian crossings from the road? Emmetten (NW) is not Andermatt (UR). Why would a municipality reject millions of dollars invested by a Dutchman? Does Swiss speak Bernese German? The airline Swiss advertises its website in Bernese German, but unfortunately, as the Bernese correspondent notes, the Bernese German is lacking. Regional-Diagonal offers a kaleidoscope of stories from across Switzerland in its premiere broadcast on DRS1 on Saturday at 12:03 PM. Producer of the submitted program: Roman Portmann
