Thanks to the "Armin Meienberg Cultural Scholarship" from the istanbuluzern association, I worked in Istanbul for ten weeks in the summer of 2017. I returned again in 2018, for the presidential elections. I was interested in the impact and changes in Turkish society following Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's constitutional referendum. Is the country on the path to a dictatorship?

1999 belegte ich den Studiengang Pressefotografie am MAZ, der Schweizer Journalistenschule. Seit 2001 arbeite ich als freischaffender Fotograf und bin Mitglied der Hamburger Fotoagentur Focus. In der Schweiz vertritt mich Keystone. Schwerpunkt meines freien Schaffens bilden Reportagen und Porträts aus der Schweiz, aus der ganzen Welt. Dabei behalte ich gern Geschichten über längere Zeit im Blick. Seit einigen Jahren gebe ich mein Knowhow auch in Workshops der Gruppe autodidaktischer Fotografen und Fotografinnen (GAF) weiter. Mit meiner Frau und unseren zwei Kindern lebe ich in Luzern.
