Studium der Geschichte, der Deutschen Literatur- und Sprachwissenschaft an der Universität Basel (1983-1986) und an der Freien Universität Berlin (1986-1988). Lizentiat an der Universität Basel über die industrielle Armenerziehungsanstalt Richter-Linder in Basel 1989. Ab 1990 Redaktorin bei SRF, bis 1993 beim Regionaljournal Basel, von 1993 bis 2000 in der SRF-Inlandredaktion und Bundeshaus, ab 2000 bei SRF 2 Kultur. 2012 Prix Média zusammen mit An Lac Truong.
