The descendants of Obwalden hotel pioneer Franz Josef Bucher-Durrer are meeting on the Bürgenstock. It was here that he founded his hotel empire around the turn of the last century. Bucher-Durrer's great-great-great-grandchildren paint a nuanced picture of their famous ancestor and discuss his influence on their own lives. Currently, the Bürgenstock is being expanded and converted into a resort by investors from Qatar. Would Bucher-Durrer be pleased with this? His descendants have differing opinions on this, too.
