On 18th June 2016, at the Bishop’s Cup in St. Gall, thirty teams from all over the world compete at rugby. Rain transforms the competition into a wet and muddy affair. By the time the group phase is complete, two of the three pitches have become unplayable – however, the players’ motivation remains undaunted.

Urs Bucher arbeitet seit über 40 Jahren in der Fotobranche. 10 Jahre war er als Fotograf für die Zürcher Bild-Agentur EQ Images tätig. Für sie fotografierte er an diversen Sportveranstaltungen weltweit. Seine Fotos und Reportagen sind in verschiedenen internationalen Publikationen und Magazinen erschienen. National werden seine Bilder in den wichtigsten Zeitungen wie Blick, Tagesanzeiger und NZZ publiziert. Heute arbeitet Urs Bucher als freier Fotograf in St. Gallen.
