The Swiss electorate voted on the controversial SVP mass warning initiative at the ballot box on February 9, 2014. The most significant support was in the canton of Ticino, with 68.2 percent. In Ascona, in the canton of Ticino, a temporary polling station will be set up in a school building on voting Sunday.
