On 19th December 2016, shots ring out in a Zurich mosque and three men are injured, two seriously. The perpetrator flees and the police initiate a major manhunt. That same evening, they discover the body of a man, not far from the crime scene, by the river Sihl. It turns out to be the shooter. He has turned the gun on himself.
