24 heures cooks up the candidates for the Council of State. This is a project by Laureline Duvillard, a journalist at the Newsnet romand desk, and Joël Burri, a web journalist at 24 heures. The five "episodes" of the project were unveiled between March 19 and 23, 2012. Taking up the symbolism of a meal, the five candidates were invited to choose various utensils behind which questions were hidden. The questions draw heavily on the lexical field of food. And a certain thematic unity links the three questions proposed for the same moment of the meal: for example, the three "dessert" questions confront the candidate with his mastery of Vaudois words. Through this project, we wanted to present the Vaud cantonal elections in a slightly more savory way, but nonetheless revealing of the political appetites of our politicians, who can be lively, quick-tempered, and half-hearted...
