Every week, a woman tells the story of a woman who matters in her life. A year-long series, spanning Switzerland. The editorial team asked me to create 10 portraits. I was inspired by Johannes Vermeer's portrait "Girl with a Pearl Earring." I like the soft light that falls on the woman's face. I chose to photograph the women in their homes so that the background would contribute to the portrait.
