Ancilla Vitelli

Sarah Carp

This portrait was created for the times. Ancilla Vitelli is a joyful and luminous woman despite the intensity of her story. Shortly after her birth in Rwanda, her Tutsi parents were massacred. Her face was bruised up to her right eye. She was treated and then adopted in Switzerland. She tells her story and its reconstruction in the book "Ancilla, the young girl who smiled at the stars."
