The images show a protest against the new Media Markt branch in the center of Bern. Several hundred people demonstrated against the electronics discounter on its opening day (March 26, 2015). Before the Media Markt store opened, the area housed numerous bars, restaurants, and small shops. The initially peaceful protest ended in property damage and riots.
