Eight days before the second World Cup qualifier between Hungary and Switzerland, I was approached by HELVEZIN to document the Swiss national football team. A few days later, I photographed in Freienbach (Switzerland) and Budapest. There were many restrictions imposed by the Swiss and Hungarian Football Associations. Nevertheless, I tried to document "Die Nati" as closely and personally as possible.

Mischa Christen ist ein freischaffender, autodidaktischer Fotograf seit 2003. Sein fotografisches Interesse gilt vor allem den Menschen und jenen Momenten, in denen er die Verletzbarkeit von Mensch und Natur sichtbar machen kann. Eines seiner wiederkehrenden Themenfelder ist die Adoleszenz. Seit 2013 selbständiger Fotograf im Auftrag von sozialen Institutionen, Firmen und Redaktionen für Dokumentationen, Portraits, Reportagen und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Mischa Christen setzt sich mit teils sehr persönlichen dokumentarischen Arbeiten auseinander, in denen er Einblick in sein Innerstes gewährt. Ausstellungen und Screenings im In- und Ausland, u.a. in Berlin, Bratislava, Istanbul, Lausanne, Ljublijana, Luzern, Montpellier, New York, Tiflis, Turku FIN, Vaduz FL und Zürich. Weiterbildung am ICP, New York; Noorderlicht, Groningen NL und der Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie, Berlin. Workshops mit Antoine D’Agata, Michael Ackerman, Anders Petersen, Paolo Pellegrin und Andri Pol.
