On the beach at Yverdon, and under police protection, Prefect Etienne Roy and Mayor Jean-Daniel Carrard negotiate with Albert Barras and Frédéric Ostertag, representatives of the Yenish. By squatting on land in Yverdon-les-Bains, the indigenous travelers highlight the lack of a lasting solution in the canton of Vaud. The nomads will have to leave the area the same day.
