The operation involved a Syrian man who wanted to explain his situation to politicians in the Federal Parliament. Security guards had informed him that no politicians were present. As a result, he doused himself with gasoline. The man sat on the parapet of the Federal Terrace for hours. At around 8:40 p.m., he was taken into custody by police and taken away.
