Rolf Horst Seiler's story fascinates and depresses me in equal measure. I met him several times in Seeberg, where he found a home after many years of wandering. I had to earn his trust through countless hours of conversation – but the enormous effort was worth it. After the publication, I received a great deal of feedback, especially from people who thanked me for taking the time to tell Seiler's story. Blick and Beobachter have reported on him before, but not in this depth, never to this extent. Yet it is a life story that deserves to be told.

Geboren 1982 in Zürich, habe ich meine Kindheit in der Limmatstadt und im Emmental, meine Jugend im Berner Oberland verbracht. Das Studium brachte mich Fribourg näher, die Ausbildung Luzern, die Arbeit nach Zug und in den Oberaargau. In Burgdorf habe ich eine Heimat gefunden. Die Neugier treibt mich, im Alltäglichem das Aussergewöhnliche zu finden. Daher bin ich meiner Disziplin, dem Lokalen, auch nach 16 Jahren treu.
