In the early evening of January 10, 2019, an avalanche hit beneath the Säntis mountain. It reached a width of 300 meters and a height of up to five meters, hitting the Säntis Hotel on the Schwägalp plateau. I documented the event for the Keystone-SDA agency. The images were published worldwide in connection with the heavy snowfall in Europe.
