Maurice Béjart's legacy is at the heart of a real clan war in Lausanne. Eiji Berger-Mihara does not share the artistic vision of Gil Roman, the deceased's designated successor at the helm of the Béjart Ballet. With his newfound authority (Eiji Mihara was recognized as Béjart's posthumous adopted son by the Federal Supreme Court last summer), Eiji Berger is considering challenging his father's last wishes. The issue: the management of the ballets he bequeathed to a foundation and to his spiritual son, Gil Roman.
