Every mid-January, the 1,300-resident community of Wengen in the Bernese Oberland takes center stage for a few days: The World Cup races on the Lauberhorn shoulder attract tens of thousands of visitors. Snowfall posed a particular challenge for the volunteers during the 2016 event. These were also interesting days for me as a reporter on site. My goal: timely, ongoing reporting from the slopes in text, photos, and video.
