An amazing achievement 2000 meters underground, at the heart of the Swiss Alps: on October 15, 2010, minors celebrated the final breakthrough of the Gotthard Base Tunnel’s section between Faido and Sedrun. The world’s longest tunnel, which will bring train passengers from Zurich to Milan in less than three hours, is expected to go into service in 2017.
