Bosco Gurin, New Year's Eve tradition, the singing of the stars. On the evening of December 31st, New Year's Eve, the young people of Bosco Gurin perform the caroling, known in Italian as "il canto delle stelle" (singing of the stars), according to ancient tradition. They walk around every house in the Walser village, singing their ritual good wishes, carrying lanterns, often in the shape of stars, to light their way.
