The Dargebotene Hand places the utmost importance on the anonymity of its volunteers. This is a fundamental part of the concept of this aid service. It therefore required considerable sensitivity and persuasion to obtain permission for a nighttime report from the Dargebotene Hand office in Biel. The difficulty in implementing the report lay in describing a night in which, in fact, not much happens and also capturing the atmosphere photographically. While maintaining the necessary discretion, the report provides insight into the nighttime work of the Dargebotene Hand and reveals how profound the loneliness of some people can be in a vibrant city.
