In the village of Muhassan (or Mohassan or Mohassen), in eastern Syria, few civilians remain. Most have fled to Turkey. Those who remain face the consequences of the war, which causes deaths almost daily, among Free Syrian Army fighters and civilians. Visit the cemeteries sprouting everywhere.

Sono nato il 1° marzo 1967. Ho studiato a Zurigo e a Francoforte sul Meno letteratura, filosofia e "Theaterwissenschaft". Ho conseguito il dottorato in Letterature comparate all'Università di Zurigo. Dopo 3 anni di attività quale giornalista per il Telegiornale di TSI (oggi RSI), nel 2002 divento reporter indipendente e mi trasferisco a Gerusalemme dove vivo per 7 anni. Seguo, da allora, i conflitti in Medio Oriente e in altre aree del mondo (Georgia, Ucraina, Africa). Realizzo per la televisione servizi news, reportages e documentari. Ho fondato e dirigo la Weast Productions Sagl, un'agenzia indipendente di produzioni giornalistiche. Curo il Blog chiamato "Faccia da reporter". La fotografia, che è venuta dopo il mio lavoro di videogiornalista, è anche uno strumento per riflettere sul senso del mio lavoro.
