Around 2,000 women from third countries come to Switzerland every year to work in cabarets. These women play a central role in their families of origin. The planned abolition of the dancers' statute poses existential problems for them. Cabaret owner Max Hufschmid says he would have to close his venue if the cabaret statute is abolished. Without strippers from third countries, nothing would work.
