Nach meiner Ausbildung zur Primarlehrerin habe ich an der Universität Bern Jura und Medien studiert und einen Master erlangt. Seit dem Jahr 2007 arbeite ich in der Nachrichten- und Wirtschaftsredaktion der Berner Zeitung BZ und beim Bund. Als angestellte Redaktorin verfasse ich Artikel rund ums wirtschaftliche, politische, regionale und kantonale Geschehen. Meine journalistische Arbeit ist auch bereits ausgezeichnet worden. So habe ich bereits zwei Mal einen Preis für herausragende journalistische Leistungen vom Schweizerischen Anwaltsverband verliehen bekommen.
