A single room without a bathroom or kitchen: for this, a family in a Graubünden asylum center pays up to 900 francs as soon as one parent is working. The canton defends this practice. The "rent" would cover running costs as well as reimburse social assistance benefits. However, this would be illegal. Furthermore, the Migration Office's accounting is opaque. This article is part of a series on inconsistencies in Graubünden's asylum system. Previous reports have focused on residential schools. There, children receive up to a quarter less instruction. "School Light" was also discussed in the Graubünden parliament in December. 5.12.2013 Government takes a stand on the "school light" in the Löwenberg asylum center http://www.srf.ch/news/regional/graubuenden/regierung-nimmt-stellung-zur-schule-light-im-asylheim-loewenberg 7.11.2013: Löwenberg: After three years, Helin is allowed to attend a proper school http://www.srf.ch/news/regional/graubuenden/loewenberg-nach-drei-jahren-darf-helin-an-eine-richtige-schule 6.11 and 7.11.2013 Löwenberg: After the confusion, politics is now reacting http://www.srf.ch/news/regional/graubuenden/loewenberg-nach-verwirrspiel-reagiert-jetzt-die-politik
