Elementary school teacher Annett A. in an empty classroom in Hanover-Linden. The 40-year-old grew up in the GDR and converted to Islam 13 years ago. Because she wears a headscarf, Annett is no longer allowed to teach in the German state of Lower Saxony. Only once a week does she tutor children with a migrant background in German as part of a special program.
