The Swiss banking industry is said to hold a third of all global assets thanks to the country’s political stability and banking secrecy. The austere heart of this secretive world, the Paradeplatz in Zurich, is dominated by the UBS and Credit Suisse. The two banks are said to own vast vaults containing gold and secrets beneath the square. But the banking secrecy is under threat due to the strong pressure from the US and the EU.
