Melting pot of allotment gardens: A place where nature thrives, where more than 15 nations live peacefully together in close quarters, and where it also contributes to the social well-being of an entire city. Utopia? Not at all. Amriswil's allotment gardens are just such a place. Photojournalist Helio Hickl immersed himself in this unique world within the world throughout the summer, capturing many personalities, making remarkable acquaintances, and even gaining new friends.
