On the third Monday in January, the people of Frauenfeld celebrate the so-called Bechtelistag (Bechtelistag). The civic societies (a type of guild) enjoy their traditional meal in the evening, and later, people, sometimes in costume, go from pub to pub. Many don't go home until the next day.
