Peter Gfeller is a farmer in Kappelen and president of the Swiss Milk Producers' Association. He has been fighting for a fair milk price for years. He puts in approximately 30 hours of work per week for the association and does twice as much work on his farm. Based on the current milk price (August 17, 2012), he estimates the hourly wage of a dairy farmer to be 10-12 Swiss francs. He tastes the fresh, home-produced milk on camera.
