Tamara Janes
Bern, 1980
Tamara Janes was born in 1980 in St. Gallen where she also passed her childhood. After finishing Graphic Design Class she moved to Bern where she worked as graphic designer and later as art director. In this period she also did installations and projections as a member of VJ collective Schau. In 2011 she started her studies of photography at the Zurich University of Arts ZHdK. In 2013 she passed an exchange semester at the School of Visual Arts SVA in New York City. A year later she finished her studies at ZHdK with a BA diploma. Her bachelor thesis “Reverse Google Image Search” was rewarded. Ever since she is working as an artist and photographer. And since last Year she participating in the Master Studies in Fine Arts at the Academy of Art and Design HGK in Basel.
