Many nomadic shepherds have lost interest in their profession because it's almost impossible for them and their flocks to get through urban cantons like Zurich. Six shepherds will be roaming the canton of Zurich this winter, mostly in the outlying areas. One of them is José Carvalho, who moves from pasture to pasture with about 400 sheep.
