From the Oceans to the Road is, for now, the final installment in a series featuring a pioneer from the Thun region. As the electrical engineer and crew member responsible, Christian Ochsenbein completed the first circumnavigation of the world using solar power in the world's largest solar boat, attracting international attention. I covered the start and arrival in Monaco, as well as the entire circumnavigation, from a local perspective in around 15 articles in the Thuner Tagblatt TT and the Berner Oberländer BO starting in autumn 2010. The first article appeared on October 1, 2010. After circumnavigating the world on water, this man with a pioneering spirit switched to the road and co-developed the first electric truck with a payload of 10 tons.
