The City of Locarno is transformed during the Locarno Film Festival. It becomes a cosmopolitan place and changes its appearance. But what is Locarno really like when the film festival isn't held? I tried to imagine the ghost of actor Kevin McCarthy, whom I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing years ago during the festival, wandering the festival grounds without the festival.

Fotografo svizzero di origine iraniano nato a Tehran nel 1951.Dal 1968 al 1977 ha vissuto e studiato a Londra e poi per un anno e 1/2 a Parigi.Dal 1978 vive e lavora nel Canton Ticino.Ha iniziato la sua carriera come fotogiornalista in medio oriente. Molti libri,pubblicazioni e esposizioni internazionali. Attualmente, oltre ad essere fotografo indipendente è professore di fotografia e comunicazione visiva alla SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland). www.khatir.com
